I am looking for information on becoming a Transport Canada inspector.

did you go to their webb site and fill in the on line application, they were gathereing applications a while back but with the cutbacks im not sure of the this now. i thought the requiremants were there also. could be wrong

The only reason to join is the pension and once the current government get through with gutting the public service, it will be heavily modified and unattractive.
Spare yourselves the agony and look for a "real job". :(

It sounds like a lot of the inspectors are just waiting for their union contract to be done, for a big payout in severance pay (gov't changing rules), then there will be a stampede to the retirement door....

Also most if not all are on the "alternate" program where the only flying you do is flying the sim in Ottawa.
