Hi,
I have a question for you as a TC examiner, I hold an FAA A320 type rating and at the same time a TC CPL SMELS without the rating. Would it be possible to fly a TC examiner form Canada to Florida (I will cover all expenses for the trip) for him/her to observe my A320 FAA renewal check which includes all the TC required instrument procedures and based on that renew my TC IFR ticket?
Or Can I rent an A320 sim in Canada and do my IFR renewal on it? keeping in mind that I only have the type rating on my FAA license
Appreciate your help

Re: IFR Renewal A320
I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish.
If you want to keep your Canadian group 1 IFR
rating current, easiest, cheapest and fastest
way is a RedBird Sim. They are everywhere.
If you want to get your FAA A320 type rating
on your Canadian licence, just push some paper.

Re: IFR Renewal A320
Col. Sanders is right.
$30 for the A320 rating.
Approx $599 for the IFR renewal in the Red Bird + $30 for that sticker.
Now you can buy, two beers.

Re: IFR Renewal A320
Hi,
Thanks for the info, Im just trying to keep my IFR group 1 current, the only reason I was thinking of doing it on an A320 sim in the USA is because I have to renew my FAA A320 type so I thought I can hit 2 birds with one stone and only do one check and have it observed by the FAA and TC. FAA to renew my A320 type and TC to renew my IFR rating.
I owe both of you beers
