Hey Guys

I am in Saskatoon and just have the IFR to do. I'm wondering what you can tell me about Mitchinson's and Millennium here. I do know Millennium starts you out in the PA28 then onto their twin PA30. Is there a benefit to starting out in the single first? I know it helps on the cost.

Don't know too much about Millennium.

Mitchinsons starts you in their simulator before you start in the aircraft. They have two Cessna 310R that they use for training. The 310's are fairly well equipped.. Garmin 430, electronic HSI

I'd suggest you stop by Mitch's and talk to one of their M/IFR instructors for more info and to have a look at the planes.

It's easier to learn Single IFR before doing Multi IFR. Alot more going on in a multi aircraft so you will be less likely to pick up everything thats going on. Master your scan, and all the procedures then go into the multi.

Try and find an approved Sim at your local flying club and get in their before you do anything in an airplane. Remember, if you screw up in the sim, it's easy to pause and reposition you back on the approach and try it again, and again and one more time with an emergency. Best of luck! but saving costs for IFR is mastering your PROC's in the Sim and get to know your GPS, most GPS have ground trainers you download onto your computer (ie: Garmin 430)
