Caravan Pilot - Alaska / Arizona

Post by geodoc »

For those that are legal to work in the USA:

A friend flew for them and has kind words.

Island Air Express is planning to hire a few pilots this fall. Schedule would be 2 weeks on 2 weeks off flying tours in Scottsdale Arizona and full time 5 days a week summers in Klawock AK. Arizona duty would be Amphib Caravan and summers would be wheel Caravan. We would like a pilot with IFR experience, Alaska time, and float time (please make sure to note those times in your resume). Take a look at our website www.islandairx.com . Apply at : jobs@islandairx.com .

Hey goedoc, what kind of experience do you need for this? Most of my time is northern MB IFR bush flying. No float or anything. This sounds like a pretty cool gig though!

Don't know exactly, but assume some Caravan time (wheels or floats) and at least a few hundred on floats not necessarily Caravan. My friend that flew for them before didn't have a lot of IFR time, but had been flying Beavers in SE Alaska for 15 years or so.

Nope, multi-turbine time.

Thanks, just curious. It's something I've considered for future endeavors.
