The US sequestration...
has hit the Military particularly hard.

Re: The US sequestration...
Fond memories of Rucker and Dothan. Did the
airshow at Ozark, down the road, many times.

I remember ... a Transport Canada Inspector
called up the airshow organizer, the first year we
were to fly there. Told him not to let us fly in an
airshow in Ozark, Alabama. The airshow organizer
was in disbelief.
Flew in the airshow at Sarnia, many years ago.
TC Inspector phoned up the organizer and threatened
him that he would not get his SFOC if we were allowed
to fly. Organizer told TC that they were not allowed to
dictate who could and couldn't fly in his show.
Same thing happened at the Ottawa airshow. We
were booked to fly, and TC Inspector threatened the
airshow organizer, and we were dropped. Organizer
was successfully intimidated by TC.
I guess TC Inspectors must have an awful lot of spare
time on their hands, to spend their time on such silly
activities of dubious legality. There's certainly fodder
here for a civil lawsuit. And remember, malicious
activity negates the government covering your legal
costs.

I'm hoping to purchase a Suzuki C50 in the background.
Pics to come in in October.
Col,
You plan on coming down anytime soon?
I have a few rounds that need to be shot. I'd be arrested on the spot up north if I set foot there with my collection.

Marshall Collins in Ozark has a biplane fly-in
every fall - I will try to make the next one!
Go visit Marshall's barn. He has an amazing
collection of Pitts. One of every model except
the S-2C, I think.
PS I am looking forward to airport security
with GSR!
