Any of you drivers know of good pubs to have a couple of pints outside of the Temple Bar area( not interested in sidestepping the pissing/puking bindge drinkers). Heading over that way in a bit.........

Bellamy's, which is towards Ballsbridge, technically just outside of Dublin. Great little local pub, not at all touristy. The kind of place where the bartender will put you back on your stool and then pour you another pint.

Address is: 13 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin, Co. Dublin City, Ireland, but it's actually on Pembroke road, right beside the canal (officially the "river dodder" per Google maps)

and a place that said Madigans, but Google maps says it's actually known as James Madigan & Sons, also says horse show house on the front. It's sort of traditional looking inside, down to the "snugs", which is where the women folk would be allowed out to drink in the dark ages, but now make a quiet(er) little alcove.

Address is: 32 Merrion Rd, Dublin 4, Ireland ‎, just the other side of that canal

Also we had dinner and beers at a place called Fitzsimmons in the edge of Temple Bar, there was good tunes there, some trad music, great food, and as expected, lots of good beer. Not many pukers either, but it wasn't that late either

If you like Guinness, you have to go to the Storehouse.... and if make sure you buy at least one of the dark chocolate caramel Guinness bars.... I didn't try them until I got home, now wish I had bought ten!

Also, the bus tours are worth the money I thought, but only if you get the right driver. If the driver is boring, jump off and wait for the next one.

A fine trip over on yer B777, nice airplane and top notch service as well. I cant nap when flying so had a chat with one of yer fine FAs during the quiet time when wandering back for a leak. Despite it all this lady FA who has been around still enjoys her work. Nice to hear

YYZ-DUB is usually a B767.

YYCflyer....trip was YYZ to LHR then Aer Lingus to Belfast where we spent time. On return Aer Lingus from Dublin to LHR then AC B777 to YYZ then back to Maritimes. First time on Aer Lingus but I think your airline(AC) on domestic is more polished as was my experience than Aer Lingus. Schedules didn't allow for Dublin to YYZ so I get another B777 trip

Here for another week and a bit NW...... and yes grin is on, pubs in abundance and I am willing to venture. Ireland has lots to offer and shortly tis off to Dublin in the green...in the green
Did a tour of Bushmills distillery in the north also took in that causeway- UNESCO site and west Belfast for the area of the "troubles"

Fine trip in Ireland and they treat you well,always a smile. Good trip back with Air Canada, smiling folks there as well. Next time over gonna book their business or executive class as well,that section looks very comfy on a long trip
