From the web site:
I am very pleased and proud to announce that Mitchinson Flying Service has new owners. These five pilots have strong aviation roots in Saskatchewan having learned to fly in Saskatoon, Yorkton and Prince Albert, beginning their careers in northern Saskatchewan before moving on to the major airlines. Four of these young men are pilots with Westjet: Dan Glass, Dale Tiedeman, Jayson Thompson and Jonathan Kirzinger. The fifth, Jim Guenther flies for Air Canada.

Thanks to the flying instructors, chief pilots, operations managers who not only taught these men good flying technique but also encouraged proper airmanship and solid decision making skills, all of which will be required in this new role they have taken on.

What about Warren and me? It will fun to be not quite so busy. Warren can golf more and do chores for me around the house, (lol). I hope to continue working with the Saskatchewan Aviation Council and will finish my term as director with the XE AA. I would like to be able to do some part-time flying, flight instruction and flight tests with Mitchinson’s, the fun stuff.

I was very lucky to have found my passion 42 years ago. I am ever so grateful to our employees, our 1000’s of students, our customers, our friends and neighbours of the Saskatoon and Saskatchewan airport communities, my partners in Mitchinson’s, the very best air traffic controllers in the world, yes even inspectors from Transport Canada and most of all my family for encouraging my passion to become even stronger over the years.

Thank-you all, “To the Freedom of Flight”.
