Ground collision Airbus 330 and Jazz DH8-300
Does anyone have any further info or pics yet ??
I just saw a clip on the local news in YVR, both a/c were taxiing and clipped wing tips, no injuries reported, no pictures so far, no indication of whether one was stationary or both moving etc . The Dash was headed to Portland the A330 operated by or for MyTravel was headed for England I think they said.

Hmm only 1 or 2 channels that actually work out of the advertised 37 a lost ground signal and a reliability rate of about 30%. Passengers do exchange notes when things are not working...
Back to the topic, this is from another forum there also could be an issue with wing tip clearance as the area was recently resurfaced with new guide lines..
quote:
"The dash 8 was on L2 just off Lima, the 330 was on Lima going to 08R when the lh wingtip of the 330 hit the rh elev of the 8. The impact tore off half the elev of the 8 and caused major structural damage to the hor and vert stabs ( skins are buckled ) The head structures person from DHC is heading to yvr to asses"

Out of two trips with the Live TV, once it worked great for the whole trip and the 2nd it didn't work @ all. Seeing as I didn't pay for it and I had a book to read and my MD player, It didn't bother me a bit.Westjet.com wrote: As Seen on WestJet - Live Satellite TV

Actually I don’t think that anyone is making money with oil at $60 and the traders predicating $80, well maybe SW since they brilliantly hedged their fuel...Then you have the hundreds of thousands of prepaid low fare tickets that still have to work there way through the system without the fuel surcharge.
Perhaps everyone should be asking the CEO of Ryanair how he plans on conducting a profitable business without any fuel surcharge and to quote his words “I’ll never impose a fuel surcharge of any kind ever” But then he makes his money by charging for everything else and don’t be one gram overweight or else you pay big time.

You still haven't learned to read comprehensively I was talking about aviation in general not specifically WJ. However it always amazes me how the jetsetters rush to the defense maybe there’s actually a fire going on at WJ. You should know the comings and goings at WJ is pretty general knowledge in the small Canadian aviation community. It comes with experience you folks at WJ seem to think that you invented aviation. I guess that's why the big guns always appear on the WJ forum when someone by accident has touched a nerve thereby confirming the rumor.. Perhaps the saying where there's smoke there's fire is true after all
Do you think there will be a profit share in the fall??Canus Chinookus wrote:rebel, i wouldn't rely too heavily on what your little 'birdie' at WJ is feeding you. The results will speak for themselves soon enough. I'm predicting another q2 of excuses for milton, and a small profit for WJ, but a profit nonetheless.
Be interesting to see a poll among WJ'ers about this.

I doubt you could be any more of a condescending jackass, Rebel.
Speaking of understanding what's written, would you like me to include pictures so it's a little easier for you? I was referring to all your supposed worldly knowledge you claim to have about WJ, not just one point.
All you're doing is acting like a slightly more literate version of Blastor, give it up already.

I'm thinking that unless oil spikes again, it's a good bet it'll happen.

The only condescending jackass is you, what a jerk I sure hope you’re not a pilot.....We’ve already been where you’re trying to go unfortunately for WJ you no longer have our computer system to get your information on how to do it. The learning curve can be expensive.
Why don't you tell us about the next logical step of bundling all your services together for a one time charge; you know movies headsets food drinks etc. That's what the other LCC's are doing. Heck you can even go on their web sites to get the information legally and its free to boot.
