Anyone get called for an interview? Or were they just filling up their pool? A few of the boys here applied, surprised not 1 of them got a call.

I doubt that it's a pool gathering, several of our 1900 F/O's had reference checks this week.

Anybody hear anything? Just so my hopes can be dashed finally...

I got turned down within a week and a half.

As far as I know the ground school is on right now. 6 Boeing and 4 Dash.

I'd be curious to know the type of experience in the ground school because I know guys with 3500+ hrs and jet time who applied and didn't even receive a call.

This is a question that comes up about every 4 months. These guys seem to have a terrible HR department. If you look back thru threads you will find a lot of people asking the same question 2 months after they went for an interview.

Maybe they are only looking to hire people from Alberta. I know a few 704 captains who applied with northern time, none of them got a call, when in the meantime, 1900 FO's from an alberta company got hired. Does this make sense to anyone?

Yep don't feel bad, I've got 16000+ TT Jet PIC from the military, civilian transport category command, and lots of high Arctic and lower Arctic experience, by that I mean above 75 and lower where CN operate, so well versed with the environment.
I was applying for a direct entry DH8 Captain and didn't even get an interview while others with only DHC6 time went direct entry. Oh yeah and I have a bunch of DHC6 time.
It's just the way it is. No real rhyme or reason, and it's not going to change anytime soon.
There are no ways of figuring the ways of HR.
Just look elsewhere.

1900 FO wouldn't have as much chance at Teal team so would probably last longer at Cdn North.

I don't think so, if that were really the case with my time I would apply direct to WJ. The fact of the matter is I like the north and CN rotates the dash crews week on week off. Lifestyle is key for me.

They need minions for the Boeing operation where the meat and potatoes work is done, the Dash operation with just 4 aircraft is a side show up north to show the native bosses they provide service across the arctic.

The internal bids haven't been awarded yet, they closed on the 10th. I'm sure once that's posted (they know the hiring numbers) the calls will be made.

No I actually interviewed 2 weeks ago and nothing yet...
I would like to get something soon... I know they were choosing 6 out of 24.... so a 1 in 4 chance... I also have no clue who I am up against.

Sour grapes? The last time they advertised was a year ago. You can't possibly think that a company posting job ads once or twice a year is only doing it to justify TFWs.
