Travel Insurance Coverage

Post by Naossoan »

Hi all,

I'm going down to America with my flight school soon for CPL training and I'm having a hard time finding insurance that will cover aviation emergencies where I am a pilot.

I've got basic emergency medical coverage but they won't cover me if it is a plane accident. I checked with Visa and RBC as well for emergency medical coverage and they won't cover it either as it is deemed "high risk" despite it not fitting in with other things deemed high risk like racing, skydiving, stuff like that.

Anyone know an insurance company that will cover me?? God forbid anything happens but if it does I would like to be covered,

Thanks

Doesn't your aircraft insurance cover that?

Try co-operators. They sell a policy to MEC members at a 15 percent discount that covers almost all activities. I'm not sure about flying but it's a lot lower risk than many of the other activities covered.
