From what I've heard, they touched down in the last 1000' of pavement.

I find it hard to believe that they floated 6,900 feet down the runway...

Agreed, hard to believe but then again i saw an air canada 320 touchdown just before foxtrot on 07 in YOW this winter. Wouldve burned up around 5000 feet of rwy in Fog, i thought he was going off forsure. I think there was fog at the airport in Regina when this happened, i think that may have contributed to the excursion

Carson Air flight 8059, a Fairchild SA-227-AC, registration C-FJKK was cleared to land on runway 13 at the Regina airport with only a crew of two on board. After touchdown full braking action and reverse thrust was applied but the aircraft ran off the end of the runway. The aircraft came to a stop perpendicular to the runway, approximately 300 feet off the end of runway 13. The crew then declared an emergency and evacuated the aircraft without injury. The aircraft sustained minor damage to the left propeller. Information provided, indicates that the aircraft had a 5 knot tailwind and touched down approximately at the mid-point of the 7900 feet runway. Reported weather was 200-500 foot ceiling, visibility 1/4 sm in freezing fog. The reported runway CRFI was .5.

Ace McCool limits. But with the RFI of .5, no sweat for a professional...

That would have been a long trip on the Grey Hound back to CYYC for the crew
