I've been offered (and accepted) a seat on the May VFR course in YWG. Just starting the Intro to Aviation course and it says to try to get in touch with others who will be taking the course at the same time. Not completely necessary as it's a self-study package, but not a bad idea I guess...

I know it's a long shot, but has anybody else been loaded on the course? If so, let me know and we can get in touch (PM I guess? I don't know, only just joined to post this). Possibly get together to meet up beforehand if we're in the same vicinity.

Not on VFR course, but I am in the YWG region. Do you know if they run IFR and VFR courses concurrently? Put them together for the first while and then split them into the different streams?

I am not loaded on any course. I did, however, attend an assessment session in YWG just last week. (Jan 28) I have been keeping my eye out on forums for other candidates in the region to discuss things with. I made a couple of posts on a different forum but received no response. The people overseeing the assessment did not make mention of a course slated for May, and at this time I am watching and hoping for a green light on the Take Charge website. I doubt the process would move quickly enough for anyone from the January assessment to take part in a May course, but with standby training offers, I suppose you never know. An update on my situation: I got the green light for the Jan 28 assessment this morning. (Feb 11)

Edit: And a green light on my telephone interview today. (Feb 17)
