Chisel Air

I've decided to make my millions in the aviation industry by starting Chisel Air Service.
I run a combination of freight equipped Antonov AN-2's and "higher" time Piper Navajos. All aircraft are equipped with the latest in Garmin E-Trek GPS's. I'm looking for my first pilots! We will be operating a night cargo operation out of a very desirable location to live: CFQ6
Requirements (Captain): 200 hours, Canadian Commercial Pilots License, Valid Group 1 IFR
Schedule: You will find that we operate a very competitive rotation for 703 operators. Pilots work a 42 on 5 off schedule, expect to fly about 100-150 hours a month, if you hit your 1200 we will pay out your vacation pay divided weekly over the time it takes you to be able to fly again.
Training Agreement: For the PA31 there is a $15,000 one year bond. We feel that because you only have 200 hours, this will help off set extra cost in training you up to the standard we are looking for. If you are let go for disciplinary reasons, the full amount of the bond is forfeit.
For the AN-2, the same applies, you will also have to pay for the fuel/Oil for your tail wheel, floats, and ski check out.
Salary: Lowest Bid
Do your year, Skip the ramp and finish off with a 1000 hours of multi pic, float and tail wheel time!
Apply by PM Only

I have no IFR but I do have 1.5 hours of ski time. How does that compare to your other applicants?

I'll donate my airplane.
Also, you're going to need an AME.
I know one who will sign anything.

Can I apply? I am 21 and just finished my log book. I now have 6000 hours on a Lear.

The AN-2 is a mistake. Nobody wants to fly a single engined tailwheel biplane. Get an Islander instead and you will have no end of supplicants.
Don't forget to factor in paying off TC (and the cops depending on what kind of 'cargo' you plan on running).
The scary thing is.... .....this sounds like a joke. But I've seen it played out first hand (thankfully as a third party only contracted to do maintenance which I was paid for) and laughed very heartily when the owner wound up in jail.

But I have a type rating on the C150, the C152 and at least three different years of C172, one of them even had fuel injection.

TC can't do anything 'cause you haven't done anything. Yet.

I'm willing to personally invest in my own safety, by upgrading avionics out of pocket. I'll call it an investment in my future,

I will gladly fly your AN2 tailwheel floatplane. First and foremost I'd like to astound you with my charm, wit and enormous…… head. Seriously.. I wear a size 8-1/4 hat.. No joke. My head is so big it won't fit in your navajo. But I can restock the liquor cabinet in the AN2 when needed. I will take remuneration by means of cuban cigars, illegal spiced rums and the occasional resupply of russian headwear known as the ushanka, in size XXL please.
Sincerely,
Dr Kenneth 'Rowdy' Noisewater

Don't forget the "widebody, heavy" 182

You know what is really sad. If so many of us did not make light of this there would probably actually be people applying. It makes you wonder about the state of the industry.
There was an April fools post some time ago about Air Canada, and people actually went to the website to check it out...
Whenever I think we have hit the low, there is always someone to take it lower.

I feel sorry for you. You have no imagination and think small, like a typical Canadian.
MY Airline will break new ground in a totally new niche, the UUULCC. People want to travel and they want to pay as little as possible. Soooooo this is YOUR chance to get in the ground floor of a totally new business model.
There is a desert full of Boeing 747 100 series going for peanuts, like 250,000 dollars. Why buy a job when you can buy an airplane ! Get your folks to mortgage half their home and you can have a job flying a JUMBO JET with your name on the side !
The best part is as an owner you will not be paid some salary, all of your pay will be a share of the profits with an unlimited upside !
Don't delay there is only a limited number of opportunities to get on with SJS Airlines !
Live the Dream !

Remuneration? The only remuneration you deserve is flying hours, and you'll be paying for those at the same rate as the customers you'll be flying. Come back when you have some of your parents' money.

This thread was hilarious until the depressing posts.

I will pay for my type rating on all of your aircraft. I have 201.5 flight hours but no ifr. I will show you a video of myself flying an ILS on Microsoft flight sim though so You won't have to worry. I will just go Vfr in any kind of weather conditions and I guarantee I will get in no matter what! I will fly more weight than the aircraft is certified for because I am the best pilot. Don't worry about giving me days off I will just not log 5 days of flying every 42. All I ask in return is for a good reference so I can work for encore.

This operation is going to be viral! I want in on this train!
Here is my offer:
I will pay you the bond and I will even renew it every year because this makes me a dedicated employee. I will wait for 2 years before taking pay so we can really get this operation off the ground. I will pay for fuel in the Ho and I like the idea of investing in the avionics (this way I can have a single radio like some other fantastic Ho operators). I will work my 1200 hours a year and then I will work as 'Pedro' for any remaining flights. But the best part is you can make me an Assistant Associate Operational Cheif Pilot so I can hold some responsibility in case TC comes knocking.
I got a whole case of scotch that tells me you want to hire me ASAP cause I will also bring my sister for you to work as your personal assistant in the office for minimum wage.
