Flying Medical Service in Tanzania is looking for a new bush
Flying Medical Service, a non-proft secular emergency/clinical outreach service in Tanzania needs a new bush plane.
Below are the basic specs we're looking for. If anyone has a lead on a plane, we'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Normally aspirated Cessna U206 F or early G model
Preferably with factory corrosion proofing and float plane kit B.

VFR/IFR Day and Night certification
Continental IO-520-F engine
Short hub McCauley Black Mac Propeller
Flap and ASI readout in MPH

Hi and low voltage warning LEDs (yellow)
Zeftronics voltage regulator
"Starter motor engaged" warning LED (red)
Heavy duty landing gear

Is this a replacement aircraft or are you expanding your fleet?
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you!

Im wondering if you could be a little more specific ?

Re: Flying Medical Service in Tanzania is looking for a new
It will be for a replacement. One of FMS's 206's had a misadventure on a go around near the Ngorongoro Crater almost a year ago. Then they lost another one doing a not very well thought out fly-by south of Arusha in February.

I thought that might be the case. I assume that this is the same young pilot who thought it would be useful to beg for money on Reddit to purchase a replacement aircraft after he hit a tree doing that blow-by. Might I suggest that you approach his parents for the cash to buy a replacement before you ask hard-working people to buy him another toy to play with.Youngback wrote:It will be for a replacement. I have no idea who the pilot is. I worked in Tanzania for a number of years and I have many friends there who tell me about what is going on in the country. There are very hardworking people at FMS and like anywhere, they get their bad eggs. I just searched Reddit + 206 + Tanzania and got the story you were referring to. Quite a few people who fly there seem to think it is a playground for pilots. The laws of physics don't respect borders. They will catch you.
