YYC Tower Question...
Simple one. Is it possible to get a tower "tour" ? Would love to get a peak inside to see how a busy tower operates.
Re: YYC Tower Question...
Fair to assume YYC tower does not like guests....

Based on my original post having 230 some odd views and no response in an ATS thread.

Clever. Tough day when you have to edit that oneNJ wrote:Assume away...

Re: YYC Tower Question...
You can arrange a tour, I've gone up a couple times, but to be honest I'm not sure the number you would call as I've only arranged it through connections with controllers up there. I've heard that given the high demand, given the tower is still relatively new, they only do tours at certain times. I'll see if I can find out who you could call for one

Re: YYC Tower Question...
I don't even know if there are YYC tower controllers here to begin with and if there are it is possible it takes more than a week to reply. Activity on this forum is fairly sporadic. That being said if you had searched you would of most likely found that by call the FIR shift manager you can usually set up a visit at pretty much any Nav can location. Good luck have fun.
Re: YYC Tower Question...
NJ is a YYC twr controller. He'd edited his post only cause he'd included a number and decided to take it out. With any modicum of effort, you can find a NavCan number to call and arrange something, they aren't going to tell you to pound sand like controllers were told when requesting cockpit visits.
Turn right/left heading XXX, vectors for the hell of it.

Thanks everyone. NJ and I have communicated regarding the tower "tour".

First I've heard of this. Who told them to pound sand?cyeg66 wrote:NJ is a YYC twr controller. He'd edited his post only cause he'd included a number and decided to take it out.
