Calgary isn't much better on $37k/year. IIRC, Calgary's housing market had the highest amount of growth last year. It's projected to be another hot year there making housing affordability even more difficult.

An Encore YVR base would make sense once the operation matures, considering how many Encore pilots still live on on "wet" coast....would save lots of deadheads for everyone else....
