Any Updates on Fall 2014 Courses?

I'm just wondering if anyone has been called yet for upcoming courses this fall (YYZ in particular). I would assume calls would start going out soon.

Haven't heard anything yet for the YEG region! Or any other region for that matter... Fingers crossed though!!

IFR for YEG is running 15 September.

Spoke to a recruiter today, and fall course dates are being finalized. Calls for courses will start to go out in the next few weeks. Fingers crossed!!!

YEG should get a good course, current IFR course is a sort of guinea pig and all over the place.

Fall IFR course for Edmonton is slated for YEG and YYC terminals. Big jump for most, as in the past they have just ran courses through the easier specialties. If you are on the fall course spend your summer enhancing your aircraft knowledge. Terminal is a different ball game, so any early prep will only help in the long run. Just some numbers for you to think about..
Last Yeg terminal course that was direct entry has 2 qualifications out of an original 6 trainees.
YYC terminal has not had a direct entry course in 12+ years. Up until now it has been licensed controllers only.
Not meant to scare you, but thats the reality. Prepare yourself. Its a big hill to climb with great reward at the end.

Just got the phone call offering me a VFR course in YYZ, starting Sept 8th!! Thanks to everyone out there who has answered my questions along the way, and I'm sure I'll have more to come as the process goes along. If anyone else gets the call for VFR toronto, send me a PM.

Contacted NavCan and they said there would be training in Gander this fall but nothing has been finalized in terms of numbers. I'm still waiting on the call for the final interview but I'm losing hope that i'll make the cut for the fall grouping.

But who knows!
