Post by HiLo »

I'm curious as to what kind of wait there will be for a new hire FO to get the right seat on an RJ...

Ready? Set? Gooooooo.....

I'm not going to weigh in with my thoughts on the matter.

I am going to crack my beer and recline my chair, ready for the ensuing madness.

Why don't you just apply to Jazz? You can go direct entry RJ, no need to wait it out on a 1900. You'll get paid a hell of a lot more working for a way better company!

Heh, sounds reasonable. But what if I offer to pay for my training? Only fair, what with a shiny jet and all...

I'll pay to fly it. Considering that I paid over $300 an hour for a clapped out Seminole, $500 per hour for an RJ is a bargain.

Plus it's small change in the end when I am a captain for Big Red making $500,000 per year for two days of work a month.....

Does it matter? I'd bet he'd be looking for a job sooner then 6 years working on the salary offered at GGN
