The Commemorative Air Force visit of their B-25 Mitchell “Maid in the Shade” creates the opportunity to see two stories of the B-25 Bomber here in Edmonton for a short time.
First is the Alberta Aviation Museum (on Kingsway) static restoration of the RCAF B-25 “Daisy Mae” as flown by 418 (City of Edmonton) Squadron from the hangar that is now the home of the Alberta Aviation Museum.

“Daisy Mae” tells the proud story of 418 Squadron in Edmonton post World War Two
and is restored in “Canadian” 1950s configuration as a strike aircraft.
Then visit the Commemorative Air Force B-25 “Maid in the Shade” at Villeneuve Airport approximately 25minutes from the Alberta Aviation Museum on Kingsway.
Maid in the Shade is a flying aircraft from the CAF Arizona Wing visiting the Edmonton Region for a June 30th to July 3rd and provides the opportunity to see a flying World War Two Bomber restored as flown by the United States Army Air Force in the European Theater.

For those seeking a once in a life time thrill the CAF crew of B-25 “Maid in the Shade” will be offering “Flight Experiences” for up to (7) persons at a time, cost ranges from $400 USD to $650 USD (per person) depending on seating positions.

In celebration of the visit of “Maid in the Shade” the Alberta Aviation Museum has a special “Tale of Two B-25 Mitchells” offer for visitors from and to Edmonton.
Visit the Alberta Aviation Museum on Kingsway the mornings of June 30th to July 3rd
to see “Daisy Mae” and all the Museum has on display and receive a free pass to view “Maid in the Shade” at Villeneuve Airport in the afternoon/following day(up to July 3rd).
