50th Anniversary of first solo
I had the pleasure of flying over Langley today while a fellow taxied out for "one circuit" to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of doing his first circuit.
Well done, sir! And thanks for letting those on the frequency in on the event.

We had lunch with Tim today and he was still thrilled with his BIG 50. It is something that is never forgotten.

Never thought of that. I am just about at 40. Maybe I'll celebrate, 50 would be an awesome number as well. My best wishes.

Tons of respect for that. I'm not quite there yet, but it's an idea if 172s are still roaming the skies in 30 yrs.

For me there are three things I feel real good about.
I flew over thirty thousand hours accident free.
I never had a regulations infraction against me.
I did charge TC with an infraction of law and won my case.
. E.
The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no
After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

1 and 2 are certainly things to be very proud of ..
3 became quite personal for you as I recall? I understand some of the frustrations you went through, and just wondered how that all ended? You mentioned you won, so did they ever pay you the 250K you were promised? I only ask because you had mentioned it yourself many times on here, so just wondered how that all ended and if you got paid? I certainly respect if you don't feel like talking about it publicly anymore.
Hope the road trip is going great!

I went through three and a half years of struggle with TC to show that they are not above the law, I was successful.3 became quite personal for you as I recall? The reason they think they can bully people is because most people are afraid of their power...I was not because I detest people who abuse their power.
No to this point in time I have yet to see a cent of the money they owe me, probably never will.
We are in Winnipeg west bound again....still have family to visit so have no idea when we will get back to Nanaimo and don't really care either as living in this motor home is really comfortable...hell we have three TV's....two on cable and one on Satellite that is on now.Hope the road trip is going great!
