Ground School

Post by ErikS »

Hello,

I was wondering if it was a good idea to start ground school now, and later enroll in flight training... Would it be ok, like what would be the advantages? because I might be planning to enroll in ground school for my ppl online or maybe in a classroom.

Thanks,

I did my groundschool during the earlier part of flight training. This helped me prepare for the various stages of my training.

IMO., I'd join it earlier in the flight training stage but not before your first flight. I found the i did it prepared me for the diferent portions of my flying. I would; however, change one thing and that would be to take it online.

I would also opt for online. A few of the groundschools that I have attended in the past have been weak in a lot of areas.

I'm also looking for a GTA Ground School that can accommodate my schedule. Since I work a M-F 9-5 job, its difficult finding the time to get GS done. Does anyone know of any Weekend-only classes?

Call a few flight schools around the area also. Canadian flyers out of Makham is pretty solid. Island Air out of YTZ just to name a few. Brampton has a school also.
