CBC Broadcasting Live from Nav Canada Tonight October 8th

NAV CANADA on CBC News Now

Ian Hanomansing, news anchor for CBC News Now, will be on location at the Vancouver ACC on Wednesday, October 8.

This is a rare media event that will give Canadian viewers a glimpse of what our employees do every day to keep our skies safe. A number of interviews and demonstrations with controllers will be featured throughout the show. There will also be a segment from the YVR Tower with Johanna Wagstaffe, CBC meteorologist and science reporter.

CBC News Now is a two-hour broadcast with a break between each one-hour segment for The National with Peter Mansbridge. The program will air on the CBC News Network and show times for each area of the country are listed below.

I wonder if they'll restrict the viewers to just those people who pay NavCanada the most money, like they do with Class C airspace over the water. :)

It was on the CBC news network not the normal CBC. They showed a clip on the national but it was on for the hour before and the hour after the national on and off.

It was an hour long segment. Unfortunately I don't see it listed on the CBC video player.

Were you one of the people interviewed, TA/RA?

Very interesting, and looks like a great bunch of people to work with. Hopefully it will encourage more applicants to apply, so we can stop this ridiculous class C NOTAM from appearing almost every sunny day.

Looks like they had the lights on the floor at full bright for the shoot...strange to see it so bright at an acc.

I quite enjoyed the use of the song "Danger Zone". Somebody at the CBC had a good laugh with that one...
