Avsoft Q400 training software

Post by eh3fifty »

Does anyone have any experience with Avsoft's software for training? They have a course that takes 30-35 hours to complete and for $300 you buy 100 hours worth of using that course. It looks quite good but I wanted to get feedback from people who have used it.

Having never flown a Q400, take this with a grain of salt.

Let the company ground school do its thing, and save yourself the 300 bucks.

The company will give you all the instruction and documents required to fly the aircraft. All you have to do is show up and study. Save your $300 for some Kraft Dinner :)

It seemed like an OK product. I know it's all about $, so if Avsoft will end up being cheaper than paying a GS instructor it might win, but for me it was an ineffective way of learning.
