I will confess that I haven't read the entire 4 page thread, will point out there have been several instances of aircraft landing on taxiways. Take that statement at it's face value, people don't always land where their supposed to. Now formation flying has always meant to me flying in the atmospher...

Blowing just over the limit (ie. blowing .105 on a .08 limit) is easy to defend; as there are variances, ambiguities and technical reasons to challenge the readings and their conclusions. Get a good lawyer; the price you pay for a skilled one will be your penance.

Planes and ground stations will still maintain a listening watch on 121.5. Also the homing equipment SAR uses to zero in on a crash site will be the same and uses 121.5, I believe the 406 ELT's also transmit on 121.5 for this reason (not 100% sure on this point).

I like BAX Global a lot for air shipments. For ground shipments postal service works if it is small and you don't care how long it takes.

Car black box prepares for take-off

I remember a homebuilt using an I-Pod to record data. Shouldn't be much more complicated than that for GA aircraft. Would need to be TSO'd or STC'd but the technology is the same.
