Re: A Boeing 777 Has Crash-Landed At San Francisco Internati
Having had the interesting experience of actually working as a contract pilot with Korean I wish to state that for anyone who has never flown with a Korean crew that their opinions on this subject of culture and ability are totally irrelevant You have to be there and see it to believe it. The common...

Re: Do student pilots need to learn about AoA?
I suspect that the explanation requested from the Sanders man was misunderstood on his part. The point that we were concerned with was that his statement that pulling back on the stick thing makes the airplane go up. We did not word our question very well. Beers were being consumed and the discussio...

Re: Do student pilots need to learn about AoA?
The Colonel Saunders wrote that the airplane will go up by pulling back on the stick. Could he be able to expound on this statement ref. AOA etc. Thanking in advance.

I was advised by senior management a few years back that the problem of having a preponderance of vertically challenged check and management pilots in the company was solved by the company simply issuing a prescription for Viagra to any check pilot who requested one. It seems that those management p...

Do you have a car? We have an 800 sq. foot coach house in the Orangeville area on a country estate. See www.countryproperties.ca to view. I am looking for someone to be on the property.

I flew the B-707, DC-10-30, B-747/1/2 and the A-310 for Max for 24 years. It was without a doubt the very best product on the market on a world wide comparison. The cabin services that we, as a small Canadian charter company, provided set the mark for excellence with many major carriers useing the W...

Re: Ah, retirement!!
For anyone that is too lazy to work, too chicken to steal and too dumb to figure anything else out a flying job with a seniority number will probably suffice quite nicely.

Re: Interview questions cause Halifax grief/AC uses same ones.
I find this to be total 100% industrial grade bullshit. If the biographies of the original aviators are true, as written, it has been suggested that Orville and Wilbur etc. would probably have great difficulty getting hired on with any airline that proscribes to this nonsense. Needless to say, Jimmy...

Re: Training bond..
I will try one last time. Is there anyone out there that actually knows what they are talking about with reference to the following question? Is a training bond legal under Canadian federal labour law regulations? We have a beer betting on this question.

Re: Training bond..
The question was not about the stupidity of a bond. The question was about the legality of a bond under federal labour law regulations. Are there no lawyers on this forum willing to give a pro bono opinion on this question?

Would 500 hours TT and a PPC on a Twotter plus float time work without an IFR? I was of the impression that all the work down there was day VFR.

Re: Training bond..
The training "bond" is not legal under Ontario Labour Law for any required job specific costs incurred to bring an applicant up to the required job skill standard for the position applied for. If, on the other hand, a company is contracted by an individual to provide training and/ or other education...

Daylight only commercial work?
Some advice is needed. If you have a colour deficiency and are restricted to a daytime only VFR commercial license could a person be able to have a career on straight floats with a multi-engine edorsement? Would Harbour Air be a viable goal? The alternate is rotary wing work. Do you need an IFR/nigh...
