Re: Planes in songs

An airplane is not mentioned, but one of my favorites nonetheless...

Sky Pilot - Eric Burdon and The Animals

Many people mistake Treetop Flyer as being Jimmy Buffet's. The song belongs to Stephen Stills.

Not condoning that flying but...The Oil System and batteries probably didn't know the difference, at least on the first roll. If the roll was done correctly, it would have been a 1G roll, as if the A/C was straight and level.

They were not expecting the WX to be that bad, as shown by the fact that the taf was amended. As Boundary Layer said, findings are pointing to low level ...

No, YVR as in the airport was pretty much shutdown Friday night.....

http://www.avcanada.ca/forums2/viewtopic.php?t=26048

only runway 12...many planes diverted.

Took one of ours a 1.1...YYJ-YVR, usually a 0.2, due to a hold...that's how backed up it was.

Is that a Hawk? I know that guy sounds American, but they are using call sign "Snake". Also, near the end I hear what sounds like "Kamloops" by the controller.

I work for Orca, here is the run down... Insurance is based on CAPTAINS time and experience, nothing to do with F/O (other than being licenced properly) Orca's pilots are if not the best paid Navajo drivers in B.C., pretty damn close to it. We hire for the pilots experience, knowledge and safety for...
