Re: Search and rescue question on ground to air signals

I'm not experienced in the flight component of SAR but I believe that ground to air signals are still very relevant. If they were made completely obsolete by modern technology and SAR practices, I doubt TC and ICAO would still be publishing the information. Given the various organizations that can b...

Search and rescue question on ground to air signals

Looking for some feedback from pilots, particularly those involved in Search and Rescue regarding something that came up over the weekend. Hoping someone can give some clarity on the issue regarding the meaning of the symbol “X” as used for ground to air signalling. The Canadian Aeronautical Informa...

Blocktime in CZBA or CNC3

Anyone know of a 172 or Cherokee (or any other single engine) available for blocktime at either ZBA or NC3?

Finally in a position to buy a block of hours and get flying again :)

Cheers!

Re: Subaru Outback vs. Honda CR-V?

I cant speak to the Subaru myself, but I know 2 people that have it and they both say its the greatest car they have ever owned. My wife also has a CRV.. its been rock solid and we have nothing bad to say about it at all.

Dont think you can go wrong with either choice.

Check the Oxygen scooters on this site too.
Ive also seen add on kits online that you can use to modify an existing mountain bike too.

Re: Dual Sport Bikes

Hey Doc, been riding a Suzuki DR650 for a couple years now. Great bike - problem free and pretty easy to keep running. While its good for running around town, I havent done any long trips on it. The stock seat is verging on a torture device... and I hear the gel seat replacement is only a little bet...

Canadian Airlines out of Buttonville

I hear Canadian Airlines used to fly out of Buttonville for routes to Ottawa and Montreal back in the early 90s. Anyone know what plane they used to fly out of there?

Yup... caught the last half of a radio segment that said if MMP had been voted in, the libs would not have had majority... not sure if MMP would have helped in this election though.

Some good points above - the soother clips are awesome! They will always be losing the soothers, so these things will save you TONS of hassles. Being able to put the soother in themselves is another one of those great milestones. We used to put a half dozen soothers in Karas crib, that way when she ...

Samantha, congratulations to you both! Getting them to sleep through the night will be one of the best milestones for everyone in your house. I believe the method Freetime referred to is from a book by a Dr. Furber. This method worked for some friends, but not for us. It really depends on the kid. W...
