Re: Canadian North fires boozing Dash 8 pilot

The person that is no longer working at Canadian North was not the pilot that was drinking and was never given a Breathalyzer and he offered his blood for testing and the RCMP said no need you are not the pilot in question. So this whole thing about the boozing pilot was fired is very untrue. So ins...

Re: Canadian North fires boozing Dash 8 pilot

Holy cow you are so miss informed about so much of what happened here. These posts are so full of half truths and C#@P. A bunch of Monday morning quarter backs sitting on their ivory pedistals preaching to the aviation world being all high and mighty and thinking they are soooo much better. AND righ...

Re: North Cariboo gets BAE146?

Yes you could get a CRJ200 for cheap but no gravel and not enough seat in it, '37 200 with gravel kit would work but remember that NCA does a lot of Canadian Norths flying so getting the same plane as them would or could put a sour taste in their mouth which would be bad for their business.

Re: Hiring requirements.

Re: Looking for info on Airco or North Cariboo.

As far as Airco goes not sure, but for NCA the salary depends on the machine, your experience your seat. What were you trying for, lets start there.

Re: Where is your $55 going?

Don't forget that before this retarded $55 fee came into affect years ago, when you renewed your medical every year they gave you an actual new medical. You waited by the mail box for some lucky goverment employee to mail you your brand new medical. So if they could give you a new medical every year...

They are both good schools. Have you gone to see either one in person, and if yes then which one did you feel more comfortable at. I went to MFC. Going to one or the other will not make or brake your resume... you will still be a 200 hr wonder. Moncton is a really nice town to live in. Some companie...

If your that lazy, or worse, that stupid to find that out, then DO NOT go write your IFR. Take that little piece of paper that says you have enough time to fly that buck 72 and let your dog eat it. Or continue to be a weekend warrior. But stay out of the soup you shouldn't be in it anyway.

Juggs it's not so much that I'm complaning, if companies are going to have them then the requirements need to be the same for all the companies that use them and they are not. And are only in a small area of country. The city that he lives in.

Contrails should dissappear

I know that contrails are not every where, but the city(s) that has them should dump them. They don't make the industry safer or better they are just a big pain in the rump. But they do let companies say no to you in a nice way "sorry but you don't meet contrail requirements".

Hey bizjet. You must be one of those pilots that finds out your buddy gets on a bigger or better plane then you, and runs to the C.P. and tells him "If you put me on that plane I'll pay for my PPC". I'm from down east so becareful.
My condolences.

I would have to agree with Boeing, cargo. From what I hear from friends that fly it. Cargo is fantastic. And the $ is the same if not more then airlines. Plus cargo doesn't care if you crank and bank to 45 degrees plus.
