Interview?

Post by dustyroads »

On applications there is usually a question if one has interviewed with company in the past 1 year or 6 months etc.
Does being offered an interview without actually having done the interview count as interviewed for the purpose of this type of question?

No. If you declined an interview or decided not to attend, you would have not actually have interviewed with that company.

Depends, if you’re a long time king air captain who has a history of not showing up for interviews, than yes! You should tell them that, your excuse is that you had a colleague who was turned down and you questioned whether or not you should keep flying or change careers!

Don't overthink this - if it comes up just explain what happened.

Not the same guy. Me thinks. But I’ve been wrong once or twice before

I was picking up the same vibe, including the PM I received but I also could be wrong.

Being honest in interviews without scaring the interviewer is key. Tell them you had a failure, career setback etc. But, don't say that you almost crashed lol.

From my experience, geometry dash lite unless you actually went through with the interview (phone, video, or in-person), it doesn’t count. Just being offered one or scheduled doesn’t usually qualify as “having interviewed.” :)

Same person. Shows up here once in a while like clockwork with a different username just to rile people up. I'm sure the entire story is made up, and has minor varations each time. Last one before this posed as a girl.
I really don't know what make some people tick, but there must be some way stronger shit out there than what I grew up with!

It is truly sad though, the poster in question had me making calls to HR only to discover this poster had been trolling the companies in Canada, to the point where IT was working on a solution to block them and companies were sharing information.
They were not sure who or why but were taking steps to figure that out, it was harassment and for me it was time and made me jaded, well more jaded and now I won’t help or mentor anyone without proof of who they are, verifiable identification or get lost. They had me twice with a different story and user name, fool me once……

Well here it goes. My 2000th post, and I owe it all to you Cdnavater. I literally joined this site just to reply to some of your nonsense and well…. mostly kill hotel room time. We’ve had our back and forths and probably would get along great together in the real world. But alas, you’re my online nemesis, and for that, I have to say thank you!

Strangely, as my distaste for jazz grew even stronger, A FEW of your posts actually make sense. You’re great at giving advice and helping others, even though they just trolling. I hope you don’t do the same with the scam calls asking you to buy 1000$ of gift cards and give them the card numbers over the phone because your bank account got compromised and this is the only way to regain access to it.

Going back to the topic :
Every one gets fooled, maybe even more than once by the same person, but don’t fret…. Laughing about it with friends over beers solves everything.

Cheers to you. :partyman:

I appreciate the sentiment and you, I’m sure you are right, we would probably get along great over beers. As for the scam calls, I love them, my record is about 45 mins or so keeping one on the phone, so far I haven’t fallen for any of them.
Cheers
