One time I saw a "Funnel cloud visible off right wing" here in Ontario a few years back. Wish I saved it!

I've seen a sigmet or airmet that went something like "(wx type), coming and going, here and there, next 6 hours."

"A Hawker on approach to Summer Beaver reports ceiling 200' overcast and visibility 3/4sm in fog"

For those who don't know Summer Beaver: kinda hard to justify knowing that considering there's no IFR approach there!

1963, YBR, OIC, (officer-in-charge) says, "we are not getting enough PIREPS, ask every pilot for one". Day is summer clear, asked pilot for pirep, "one small white puffy cloud north west", so I sent that out, hey, that what the idiot wanted!! Of course I could have worded it as SWPF, or Small White Puffey F---ker. As some one on here says, common sense ain't common any more.

"Leafs 4, Senators 3"

I can't remember if that was the exact score, but I know FSS was passing it along to everyone that wanted to know. I'm pretty sure it came out as an official pirep, does anyone in Ontario remember?? It was around 2003 or 2004 I think.

It is so sad that the Leafs need to broadcast their wins. I guess it happens so little that the FSS don't get in trouble as the rarity of it makes it hard to get caught.

P.S. Leafs aren't making the playoffs this year, put a PIREP out about that. :smt019

For those of you up in Norman Wells:

I remember last summer a certain PIREP reporting increased bird activity in Tulita reported by a C208. I believe the exact print was:

PILOT SAYS AIRPORT RESEMBLES BIRD SANCTUARY

Not a PIREP but a CADORS:

The crew of xxx reported rejecting their takeoff at Thompson due to two coyotes crossing Runway 05/23. A staff vehicle was advised and did a field check. xxx departed without further incident.

UPDATE AS reported that the APM at Thompson reported that one of the Wyllie fellows may still be around however its friend will not be back. One aircraft was delayed because of the runway incursion.

There I was at 2,500'....

Kind of a bumpy ride. I was trailing the CFI when he gave a report to FSS, "It's like burlap underwear up here"
