Upcoming Jazz Vacancies

Post by Captain Crunch »

Anyone know where he soon to be vacancies at Jazz will be? I gather YYZ or YUL is typical on either the dash or RJ... anyone have an inside track?

I have an interview on Monday and just curious.
Thanks in advance!

I was told thar they are hiring for all bases. She did mention that the YHZ spots go to the more senior pilots. Commuting didn't seem to be an issue if you didn't want to move. My interview is on the 29th. Hope this answers your question. Good luck.

I don't want to get your hopes up, but in the last two months or so there have been Halifax openings for new hires. Only two, and usually only one per groundschoo. Lots of people want to go to Halifax, but they don't want to go as the bottom F/O.

I'm from Montreal, so it's pretty obvious YUL is my first choice. If that doesn't happen, then my second choice is YYZ. And if that doesn't happen, I'd be happpy with YVR. I'm not a very difficult person at all.

As for equipment, I would really love to get onto the CRJ. I used to work as a ground school instructor on that aircraft a few years ago at Bombardier. It would be nice to look at it from a pilots perspective for a change, instead of an instructors.

Cheers everyone.

well I was talking with my buddy and he said the whole class for Westjet in November is from Jazz, so there should be plenty of bases to choose from

Cool Rhymes - YUL RJ shouldn't be a problem. If you really want the RJ and only YYZ RJ comes up, I'd bid that over DH8 YUL because you will probably be able to transfer to YUL before training is over, where as you will be on the DH8 for two years.

Squid - Are you serious?? That's good for everyone.

What are my chances getting the RJ if I am willing to be based anywhere to get it? 50/50 Still?

All depends on the seniority draw when you start.
If there is more Dash spots and you in the bottom of the class than less.
