Post by ourkid2000 »

Anyone know where I can order Knipex tools? I'm having a hard time finding a dealer.

I'm not sure if it was chads toolbox or somewhere else but some of our guys have been ordering them from the states and can get all 3 sizes for about $110.. The Snap on guys want that for just the middle size..

Anyhow, great tool and I would reccomend them to anyone..

Cheers all.

I'm curious.....what's the deal with those Plier Wrench things? Why does everyone love em so much? I can't really think of a time when I could have used em, but then again, I've never used them, LOL.

Believe it or not try Acklands. They were more competitive in pricing than Snap On. Our company has a mayor discount because of the volume we buy from them in other areas, it is still worth a shot. As for uses, using the small pair can be very handy in squeezing rivets when installing anchor nuts.

I've ordered a lot of Knipex tools from chadstoolbox.com. Plier wrenches are the most popular but the cobra plier is also an amazing tool, you'll never want to use a channel lock plier again. The needle nose pliers they make are also incredibly well made.

How did you guys deal with the duty? I just tryed to order the set of plier wrenches from http://www.chadstoolbox.com , IAW with their ordering procedure in regards to them figureing everything out and then they will email you a final cost. At that point it is up to the buyer to decide if they want to accept the order or reject it. They told me that that procedure is not in place any more that it is up to the buyer to deal with customs.

I had them shipped USPS and they billed me the cost of shipping them in a flat rate box. It can take a while for customs to process the box but all they did was charge the GST plus a $5 fee and they were mine.

Best price I have seen http://www.browntool.com/productselect. ... ductID=769

Make sure they are not shipped ground by UPS or Fedex = brokerage charges.
