what'll be my score on the WJ MATRIX?

Post by alpha474 »

Hey guys,
i checked 3 pilot forums and seems this one is superb for westjet aspirants! so please do the math for me...

1) boeing 737 Classic & NG time - 4500 Hrs
2) out of the 1), Command time is 2500 hrs. FO time 2000 hours
3) but dont have any references in westjet or canada (i was flying the B737 in india)
4) 26 years of age , would that work against me? :( im sure in the interview they would realise im just a young guy with no hangups...
5) would learning french make it easier for a job in WJ?
6) if i get in, how much time to get back on the left seat? 4-5 years? well i can wait that much... no hassles.

also could anyone tell me where does the "hangar" exist where ppl go every wednesday in calgary???? for pilot hirings....

cheers guys...
again.... GREAT forum for an even GREATER AIRLINE!!
:smt040

p.s. anyone knows any contact numbers / emails for Mr. Dave Pobran?? or anyone else in hiring?

Hello Alpha,

Well I have a bit of bad news that our hiring is full for 2008 and there is not going to be any interviews over the summer months. Also DP is not going to be around the hangar on Wednesdays for the summer. Hiring is going to start again in the fall so I would plan a trip in sept or October to do the tour. If you don't have any references that will hurt you a bit as WJ relies on internal references heavily. I suggest trying to meet someone that works here and getting them to take you for the tour.

Good luck!
