So what's the scoop? What was the conference call all about?

I guess if you weren't invited to be a part of it, it's simply none of your freakin business. Now go try to spread sh*@ about someone else for awhile, and leave us alone, and keep your 10th party point of view to yourself.
cheers

Well said indeed. Instead of giving an indication as to what's going on (which is none of our freaking business), he's shown that Cargojet pilots are even more bitter after the conference.

A simple "thank you" would have done for outsiders being concerned with what was going on in your company. Maybe publicizing CJ's internal problems was enough pressure to get management to do the right thing.

We dont need pressure from you guys. We can communicate and handle our own issues. Please look after your own issues i am sure your companies can use some help and advise. lets keep this forum constructive, productive and not make it personal. lets not give pilots a bad name , lets show some maturity. well said piston.

The rumour is over for the first quarter!! Don't worry another disgruntled pilot will start another one next quarter!!

Your the one that brought it up. I'm not sure why you would refrain from providing the names of nine airlines that went out of business while the pilots were represented by a trade union.
I do not work for KFC or MS.
Airwings,
Would you mind if we kept discussing this issue?
We could start a different thread or you could pm me if you like?

Sorry if it cost you 15% more Ajay. But to me, that's constructive, productive, and impersonal.

Cargojet always pays up when the threat of a pilot union is thrown around. I have ZERO I say again ZERO respect for that company. Nothing against those that work there as I know a few and they are all great guys that work REALLY hard and should be compensated properly and fairly for their work. Keep the pressure on and you won't get screwed around by the brass.
Good luck, safe flying and don't let them get you down.

Apparently things are fine and dandy now. The pairings have been re-structured, and management is telling the guys that because of this they will all get an extra day off a month.
Of course management also told them not to talk to anyone about anything, so don't expect to see any of them here bragging about this.

A little
correction. Cargojet gave 1 week salary as a xmas bonus. 3% pay raise Jan 1st. 2 % RRSP increase. Would equal about a 6%pay raise this year. All Benifits restored.

Wow, sounds like things are finally looking up for the guys at Cargojet. That's great! Was it a 3% raise on top of cost of living? And does the 2% rrsp increase bring them up to 5% now? Did they get their 12 SDOs back too?

Flightlevels wrote:You have some top shelf guys there that pour in the extra time to make it work. (DM comes to mind) I agree.
DM left Cargo Jet to take a bottom of the list job at a 737 charter operator. I think that should speak volumes about how great things are at CJ when pretty much the best guy in the business is willing to take a bottom of the list job at a charter outfit with more than it's fair share of bad press over the last few years.
