I am writing here because I failed finding more info, and the little info that I did find, appeared to be a bit outdated. I currently live in Europe where I am pursuing the bachelor of science in Aeronautics by ERAU Worldwide (distance learning), but I also did two semesters at one of their campuses, the rest of the education, I did all online. I also flew in South America (B737 NGs, E190s and Gulfstream G550s), have approx. 4000 hrs and am the holder of an FAA and ICAO ATPL license. I am thinking of moving to Canada with my wife, as she is a teacher and has had some great offers to work in Canada, so I thought why not, I always loved your beautiful country when I visited it, and also its people.
My question is, do you know if Canada in general accepts the bachelor of science of Aeronautics degree? The only few official places in Canada that could give me an answer, want to charge me approx. 350 CAN $ (that incl. international shipping of results) but the process takes nearly 14 weeks. So I thought I should ask here. For example, if I want to do a major later at a Canadian Univ. will I have chances to get in?
I do not really look into joining the airlines, so I will not be taking anyone's job here

So that is basically it, given my info above, do you think the degree is accepted by Canadian educational or academic standards and do jobs in the aviation sector know ERAU?
A bit of a side note. I read in several topics regarding the long distance course not being the same as attending campus. Now, I did about 1/3 campus and 2/3 long distance, I personally think the exact opposite, I even thought some of the long distance work harder (example they cut your exam time in half, because they are afraid of cheating), so taking tests is a huge stress each time. Also, social loafing and such is a hard task as group participation is monitored by professors, and you have a ton of extra work to hand in, all part of the great so the long distance of ERAU today basically forces you to participate all the time, because when I was last time on campus 9 years ago, you could basically do as you wish, since final exams all counted the most and one or the other major assignment, so some people did not even go to class, but just went to take the tests and were square, that is why I mention, that I in particular, thought the long distance course more challenging. I also learned here that I had more self-discipline than I thought

Looking forward for some replies. Thanks in advance !
