New Quiz
G'day
Ready for a quiz?
This time I have devised something different. It is called 'What Time Is It?'
By counting the number of aircraft and adding its type, you come up with the time.
Sorry I have to attach the file this way, but I need to learn to clone properly.
I'll start off with an easy one. After that, no mercy!
Cheers...Chris

Nark wins the first contest.
Here is another one. By the way, the time can either be i.e. 6:00 or 18:00 hours.
Good luck.
Cheers...Chris

Good job Maynard (a thundering round of applause!)
It is a C-53 Skytrooper. This version of the famous DC-3, was used as a troop transport and jump platform by U.S. airborne forces. There were around 230 built.
Here's a bit of trivia.
Did you ever wonder how the cargo version of the DC-3 got the name Dakota? You can thank the Brits for that. Dakota is an acronym for Douglas Aircraft Company Transport Aircraft ( DACoTA).
Cheers...Chris

It is indeed the Saab B 17. The prototype first flew on the 18th of May, 1940. The type entered operational service with the Swedish Air Force in 1942 where it was used in the bomber and reconnaissance roles. There was even a float-equipped variant. The Saab B 17 was completely withdrawn from use by 1950.
