Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or Apprentice specializing in Avionics to join our dynamic team at Alliance Maintenance. As an Avionics Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics systems and components on a diverse range of aircraft. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our customers aircraft fleet.
Aircraft types:
ATR 42/72, Dash 8 100-300, Metro 226/227, King Air B200, DA-20 Diamond.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct inspections, maintenance, repairs, and modifications on avionics systems and components, including navigation, communication, radar, autopilot, and electrical systems.
• Perform avionics system checks, troubleshoot faults, and diagnose complex electrical and electronic issues.
• Utilize specialized tools, test equipment, and computer-based diagnostic systems to identify and resolve avionics system problems.
• Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to carry out maintenance procedures accurately.
• Collaborate with other maintenance engineers, technicians, and avionics specialists to ensure efficient and effective avionics system maintenance.
• Stay updated with the latest avionics technology, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, maintenance standards, and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts usage.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of avionics maintenance programs and procedures.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Avionics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience or avionics certifications will also be considered.
• Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (AME) with an avionics specialization.
• Extensive knowledge of avionics systems, including navigation, communication, radar, autopilot, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in using specialized avionics test equipment, diagnostic tools, and computer-based systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills specific to avionics systems.
• Familiarity with relevant aviation regulations, such as FAA or EASA, pertaining to avionics maintenance.
• Excellent attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work in rotating shifts and respond to emergency maintenance situations.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
