Unemployed worm farmer and fireworks lighter. Just got into sperm donation. When I found out that it was worth $100 a pop, I cried out in heartfelt anguish, "I've let a fortune slip through my fingers over the years!!"
j/k ... I write software days, pull and push G evenings and weekends.

Is flying for the MNR or another agency flying water bombers considered employment in the aviation industry? No layoffs after 9/11, budgets don't get pulled in an economic slowdown, just food for thought.

I added the corporate option now, as it seems the original poster must have inadvertantly overlooked that niche of flying

Pushing duty times while sitting in an FBO for the past 5 hrs and waiting for the company to pick me up cause my plane snagged on LDG after maintenance went home for the night.
I guess you could call this an 'uninterrupted rest period'

Working in a lucrative career in high-tech engineering, hold a CPL - working on the instructor rating in my spare time - so I can see the thrill of the first flight on people's faces at weekends. Not sure if I'll ever quit proper job for aviation full time. In my current career a good professional employee is an asset. In too many airlines, flight crew just seem to be an unfortunate cost of doing business.
