Advancement from 703 to 705

Post by KN84 »

Hello everyone.
Could those of you kindly PM me your experiences on advancing from 703 to 705 specifically if you were King Air Captains prior to getting 705 ops opportunities. Things I’m interested in knowing are type of experience in the king air such as avionics, geographic areas. Also how did you convince 705 hiring committees you were going to be successful in transition from 703 to 705.
Thank you all.

You know most 705 regionals are hiring flight instructors these days? A King Air captain would not have to ‘convince’ a hiring committee to get the job. If you’re not getting calls then it’s likely your resume/references that are the problem and not your experience.

This is getting old dude!
If you are a King Air Captain, every single 705 will offer you an interview, as for convincing them, that’s a personality thing. No one here can tell you how they convinced them!
If you are who I suspect you are, you have trolled every airline in Canada and their IT departments have blocked your IP, try a VPN and maybe you can hook them in again, might want to change your experience to 1900 or MU2 or something other than King air!
I honestly don’t understand why you are doing this, I believe you’ve been PFOd and are now on a mission to disrupt and annoy!

You'll need some taildragger time if you only have 703 King Air experience.

I didn’t.

I’ll be stuck at 703 for the rest of my life. 705 is just a bridge too far.

Have you considered de-vancing to 702?

Good luck!

Dude? Probably should show some respect to us women who won’t be chased from this industry by those of your type who grew up in the old days.

Well, I apologize for referring to an anonymous poster in a general way, if you prefer to be identified as female you should let people know ahead of time, I certainly wouldn’t ever be offended if someone referred to me as a lady on an anonymous forum, I would simply laugh

I literally heard 3 female flight attendants call themselves “dude” and “bruh” like last week.

Sooooo…. Pick a side

I rarely agree with Cdnavater. But you’re out of order

Frankly your pronoun should be “troll”

As far as your career progression will go, dude-ette, I suggest you attend as many women in aviation programs and seminars you can. It’s fly pink month, your thousands of hours of king air pic time will certainly land you something by November 1st. Good luck troll.

Sorry I do not have thousands of hours of king air pic time. I’ve said numerous times I’m a newish king air captain, since spring of year 2023.

Okay for the sake of argument, let’s say you are a “newish king air captain” that leaves the only option of, you’re an idiot and obtuse!
Many have told you over and over, if you have King air PIC, you would definitely get an interview at any of the 705s that are hiring but you keep bleating on about this colleague that has thousands of hours who can’t get hired! You need to get out more, explore, there is a reason this person is not getting hired and putting all your hopes and dreams in that persons experience is plain idiotic!
I 1000% guarantee, if you are not your colleague, if you are a newish king air captain, you will get a job at the airlines, they need you!

And you’re the guy who’s been standing with his mouth open for an hour looking at a reptile fighting its own reflection.
