Question on Sunwest?
What kind of schedule and pay would a Learjet Captain get at Sunwest?

Generally the schedule is 10 on 4 off. 8 days off per month. They do and will hire direct entry for any position in the company. They try to upgrade from within but that is not always possible.
Benefits are excellent-
100% dental
long and short term disability
RRSP matching 3% to start up to 6% after 6 years
3 weeks vacation after 3 years service
4 weeks vacation after 5 years
Hope this helps,
CJET

Flyinhigh& Captain K;
It's a good company to work for. Great people all the way from managment to the rampies. The pay is a little above average and the sched is pretty good. The euipment is top notch and the maint. is excellent.
If you already hold a type rating and/or PPC (dependent on a/c type), you're started at 2nd yr pay rate. You recieve a pay increase for every yr of employment and will never go down in salary to fly a bigger/faster aircraft. Ex; If you are Capt. on a turbo prop and a Jet F/O, you retain the higher of the two pay scales.
The company will always upgrade from within if possible.
If you need to be typed on an a/c you'll have to sign a bond(2yrs-pro rated. Nothing up front such as Jetsgo and Bearskin). In SOME cases, they'll buy out an exsisting bond. You don't have to resign for recurrent training, only an initial (if required).
Per diems are the best i've ever had.
As for the C208's, they're cargo only. The pay is average(around 38$-40$ to start), the days are long, I'm not to familiar with the cargo side of thing though.
Like every company though, if you really want to find something to bitch about, you could, but I think overall its a teriffic company.
If there's any other ?'s feel free to ask.
