So you'd pay out of your pocket to help ERAU purchase new aircraft???
The only things these students have lost is their semester and flying time... and for that, quite unfortunate. College students don't need sex, as the college fucks them all the time (in this case, mother nature too)

And with the tuition those kids pay, I'm not shedding a tear.
I know! I know! I feel your pain because I almost got sucked into ERAU. In fact, I almost took that $120 000 US loan that was suppose to come in at $30 000/yr. FABH, the ERAU issue for me is like Cat Driver and TC. They have such an incredible marketing tactic of attacking high schoolers who are young and determined to break into the aviation industry. This was a few years ago when I came to the conclusion that I wanted to become a pilot and no one would stop. My mentor was making some $350 000+ at Air Canada, and if he could do it then I could do it. Yes, it would be more challenging for me, but a life without challenge is no challenge at all. Embry Riddle was telling me about completing my flight training with 200 hrs. and buy these things... what are they called? Oh yes, thats right... PPC! I would purchase this gift and they would help me to gain permanent residency, which they couldn't promise but it was worth a shot. "Upon completion, you can be flying a 747 for a legacy carrier shortly. You should be able to pay that $120 000 within 3-5 years at the rate of which you're getting payed." An instructor called me shortly after and told me... "Please don't do it! Starting pay for flying a jet at Mesaba is $18 000/yr." That had to be the shocker of my life!

There aren't any PPC's in the United States. It was a lovely story though.

I was only expecting to see a few planes on their backs in the pictures... but obviously whatever happened put the planes through the mincer. How big was the tornado?!

It looks like it went through what I think is a destroyed hanger in the photos packed with planes, untied of course, and ejected them out.
Unfortunately, this is not the case. You're looking at aircraft that were parked outside, SECURED WITH CHAINS. The hangar is a maintenance hangar, probably had 5 aircraft in it at best. They lost approximately 50-60 aircraft (spar inspections pending) This was one hell of a Tornado from what the locals tell me and the school is very fortunate that it occurred on Christmas and not with students on campus. Keep in mind every building on that campus meets some serious hurricane-worthy standards.
