Holy crap.... I used to work there a few years back and from what I knew, the Pilatus was the bread and butter for that company. Sure it wasn't the best place, nor the friendliest place to work, but it got me introduced to flying in Hi Level airspace and such. I also met a lot of very good people there some of whom are still there. Good luck to you guys if this rumor is true. I hope it isn't but I have heard this from a couple people already today.....

Wow. Is that really the way they work? All the Captains and FO's on the PC-12 are now out of work no matter their seniority?MAG1 wrote:I was told the same by some of their workers. All three pc-12s are off line and the pilots on the streets. That's a cut-throat company for ya.

Unless there is a union and an agreement, seniority don't mean crap to a company. If there is a union and an agreement then they just declare bankruptcy protection to achieve their goalsGoose757 wrote:Wow. Is that really the way they work? Curious for anyone with information. It says on the Canadian Civil Aviation register that Peace air has 12 aircraft. Did they not have a navajo go off the runway a while back? Is that aircraft back in service? Also, the Jetstream that crashed in Fort St. John I'm assuming that one was a right off or at least down for the long term future. With their PC-12's grounded, is it safe to say they're operating with only 7 aircraft now?

Peace air is only operating 7 aircraft at present. The PC-12 will be off line this Friday and who knows what will happen to those unfortunate pc-12 drivers. He says they are talking about king airs.

I know I crab about paying for PPC's etc, but I really do feel bad and offer my condolences for all those young pilots who paid for their own training on the PC-12 and are still on the ramp or just got on the plane at about $1200 a month.
Perhaps some good can come of the experience for you all by sharing it with the new pilots coming into the system.

Well the PC-12's were flying today and in YYC. Where are you all you hearing this from? Didn't they have a King air a While back? C-FNAR I think it was an A100.
I will contact some folks up that way and see if this is true.

OK kids. Yes Peace is getting rid of the PC-12's, I can confirm this. Best of luck to all the guys and girls that are getting laid off. Everything happens for a reason, so stay positive.
The day's of having the single engine A/C for oil field work is coming to an end. Peace Air understands this (I hope). Peace Air is building the fleet on the 704 side. From what I understand, they are trying to get a couple more Jetstreams on the go very soon. Training is already started for more crews.
420BB- Great post with the peaceful easy flying, lmao.
