Latest Equipment bid at Mainline

Just wondering when the next equipment bid will be or has it already passed. Also wanted to know how many times a year that this bid happens. Cheers!!

The new bid was just released. By contract the company must have at least 2 bids per year.

Does the bid break down how many positions available in each base!!

Hey newbie I think your reading it wrong. No worries it took me 10 years to figure it out. :lol:

At the bottom of the bid under system you need to subtract the VACs from REDN. Which equal 225. All those 340 positions gone created a lot of reductions.

The easiest way to make sense of the bid is to only pay attention to two columns ACTIVE and REQUIRED. That difference on a piece of equipment, base, or system wide is all that matters.

All bases except YWG have open slots. YYZ the most of course. There is no point indicating how many at each base because the has not finished. What will be left open after the bid is complete is what new hires get assigned.
