that's an absolutely fantastic jacket. I've owned two of the resolute versions and they're fantastic. Anyone who's gonna be up north this winter should jump on this if they don't already have one. These jackets are built really tough too. My first one was drenched in jet A1 and Jet B and worn hard for 3 winters and when I sold it still had a hell of a lot of life left in it.

Doc I'm surprised to hear that you couldn't work in yours. I did all manner of very physical work in the same planes that you've operated in and had no problems. In fact when doing really physical work i found that even at -40 I'd need to unzip the jacket to stay cool enough when hand bombing out the back of the hawker.
You should see if you can find some new borek kids rotating out of YYC that need the jacket for this winter. I'm sure there's gotta be someone looking!

I found it Okay for walking around in, but you couldn't actually sit in the airplane wearing the thing. Way too bulky. But then, I do most winters in Merrells, a fleecy and a shell! Chucking freight in a Snow Goose? I'd croak! Just give me a Red Lake Dinner Jacket, over a sweater...at most.
I guess I was the opposite in the footwear department. The most I could stand was all season hiking boots with a pair of very thick wool socks. You're right about not being able to fly in a snow goose though. It's far to big for anything except the very biggest cockpits. I never got into anything big enough while up north to comfortably wear it while flying.

Anyone on here still looking to unload a Medium for a good price? I see XS Bank got rid of his.
I just landed a job up north and my city 3-in-1 probably won't cut it.

Re: Snow Mantra for sale
Everyone's selling their Parka it seems. Either you guys are getting fatter or this global warming thing is a reality. I'll leave the details for my doctoral research though.
