Pat Paterson passed away on the weekend. Not sure how old he was.
I was informed, today by email, that Larry Clark passed away. Larry was 62.

Thanks bmc. Pat Paterson rings a bell, but I didn't know Larry Clark.
We used to do recurrrent at USAir in PIT, used to take ND when they still ran the UL - PIT sched. The first DC-4 I ever set foot on was IQM, at GW.

Did Borek have IQM for a while or was it with Buffalo?

Good question. I don't know if Borek ever operated IQM. The airplane was originally owned by Wheeler, but when that whole Wheeler - Maritime Central - Nordair merger went down in the early 1960's, Nordair wound up with the IFR divisions of all three companies which included IQM. ND flew it for years but sold it in the US, I can't remember when, but I believe it was Buffalo that re-imported back into Canada and obtained the original registration.

My father was a Nordair pilot back in his day...
I found out from him on the weekend that yes indeed Larry Clark, our neighboor and family friend had passed away he will be missed by many.
His youngest son still carries along a passion for aviation and is in the beginings of what should be another long great career.

Birdman...I knew many of guys that were flying between 81 and 84 when I was based up north. Would your dad have been flying back then? What equipment was he on? I'm in touch with a few of the guys.
