Thank you from Cargojet
Thank you very much to all of you that have sent in your resumes in reply to our job posting, the response has been most gratifying. Thank you also to the proprietors of AvCanada for providing such an effective forum where a company such as ours can reach so many candidates and where aviation professionals can have a free exchange of ideas and opinions.
We have been somewhat remiss in our replies to those of you that have sent in resumes at the end of 2007, so we would ask that if you have not received a response from a recent submission that you kindly resend your information for consideration on this round of hiring.
Interviews are being scheduled for the week of February 25th in Vancouver and Toronto, and candidates will be contacted next week. Our internal position bid is currently underway, and it should be noted that it is quite unlikely that direct-entry First Officer vacancies will be available at this time. Thank you again for your interest in Cargojet.
Regards,
George

What a class act. If this is anything to go by, probably a good place to call home

well done. wish there were more cp's like you out there.
I want to die like my grandfather did, peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming in terror like his passengers...

I have been a silent reader and obsever for a while. But feel i must throw in my two cents after all.
From what i hear out there in the industry, from transport, from what i observe, read and see from what you guys started as and where you guys are, hats off to your team and its leadership. All is wish is that the company i work for was even 10% of what you guys have accomplished. The communication that exists and your track record speaks volume. I have many many years in the aviation world and seen many companies and people come and go, all i can say is you people dont ever change anything. You have no clue how lucky you folks are. I only wish we had your culture and leadership. From where i sit i make a decent buck but the culture and communication is non existant.
I have never met , spoken or been asked ever by our president or vice president. Confrence calls wow just forget it, dont even get replies to my emails and i dont send them anymore. Only time we hear is when there is a problem. Any way people all i can say is dont ever trade in what you have , dont try to fix whats not broken. You only realise what good stuff you have when you loose it. I am not jealous but certainly envious. I only wish i was a bit younger and join you guys for the ride .

Re: Thank you from Cargojet
The positions have not as yet been filled, rather the interview times for the two days have been fully booked. We will not decide on the candidates to be offered until all of the interviews are complete. With course dates starting in mid-March, there was some urgency in getting the interviews done in sufficient time to allow notice. If we did not receive a reply by the next business day the interview times were booked with the next candidate on the list. While this is not ideal, it was required by the circumstances. PM me and I'll see if I can fit you in on Thursday.

Is this guy not the coolest? George, you are the man. There should be more guys like you in management.
