so i'm an 18 year old guy just coming out of high school and i'm registered to go to Bighorn Helicpters Flight School in september for my commercial licence... i'm looking for a job around helicopters for the summer just to get a feel for what it is like and a bit of experience around the industry, would it be pretty hard to get a job seeing as i don't have my licence? or would I have a pretty good shot. I've written a few companies about a job but havn't got a response and I'm just sorta wondering what kind of advice you guys would give
thanks, brandon

my advice, get on with a spray company. Long days and a good intro to the industry, and with per deims, away from base pay, and salary you can make some good cash. Youll work with some characters and get to fly in the choppers a bit hopefully, and come away at least knowing a few of the logistics of a heli operation.

Hey Brandon,
I don't have any job advice for you, but I'm also registered for my heli CPL at Bighorn in September 2008. See you there!
