The only people affected by this gun control are good Canadian citizens not criminals..
you're absolutely right about it................and I totally support the idea.

(C) Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171.

Guns
(A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000.
Yes, that is 80 million.
(B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500.
(C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is 0.000188.
Statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.
Remember, "Guns don't kill people, doctors do."
FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR.

about 750000 deaths attributed to drs mistakes in one year in north amercica,

2.5 million crimes stopped by legitimate gun owners in the US

food for thought
FACT: you're a dumbass who doesn't know how to make a logically and factually sound argument.

You're comparing "crimes", not murders, to lives saved by doctors. I'm not in favor of gun control, but this is a horribly biased (and therefore weak) argument.

How many times per year does someone get treated for a health issue by a doctor each year? And how many times per year do they use a gun to prevent a crime? I'm pretty sure more than 1 in 100 people sees a doctor every year.

You need to reed the numbers you posted again, as well. Is it 120,000, or 750,000 deaths per year that doctors cause?

Gun registration is a great way to get people killed and hurt by creating a computer list that any good hacker on a computer could hack and find out what guns are in which house, (or even a corrupt Govt employee or even a corrupt policeman as has happened) and that puts a gun owner and his family at risk of home invasion and definite harm by criminals,

It puts every home owner who owns a gun legitematly at "extreme risk of home invasion" and death by those criminals who would take that advantage, all they have to do is get the information of where the guns are and no data bank is that secure, so who is putiing the citizenry at risk then? The Governement!

The Govt's programs and data base would be a good place to start, especially with the world full of hackers.

50+ people killed by guns in toronto this year and 710 people killed by toasters in north america,

next we will be banning all toasters as well.
I used too have a link that showed the information publicly available to within a block or two. Will have to look for it.

Why not ban guns completely?
Because that would infringe on someones freedom/liberty as a citizen to sell them.

But isnt someone that comes to rob me using a gun infringing on my freedom and liberty?
The law doesnt ballance out here.

It doesnt come down to ecenomics. If i get killed because someone used a gun, that counter produtive for society.A gun costs a couple hundred dollars, but I will pay the government a lot more.

Its funny because you think the government wouldve thought of this.

People who WANT to get guns WILL get them,(even if there is a ban)
no matter what laws are in place.
We are humans and as such have imiginations.

To be exact in Canadian law, you are allowed to use as much force against someone to defend yourself as they are using against you. If you use one gram more violence against that person than they used against you, then YOU will be the one charged and the 'perp' will walk free.

Not to mention, the statistics he cited are only comparing "accidental" gun deaths - how about we add in gun murders as well? Perhaps that would be a little more accurate. Actually, comparing to deaths caused by doctors is just plain arbitrary... non sequitor. That's just silly.

The concern of most of the anti-gun lobby is not only accidental deaths (looking down the barrel while it's loaded, etc.), rather they're concerned about the "gang-bangers" who go around killing innocent white people... err... civilians... thus it's a stupid comparison to begin with.

Gun bans are useless, just like gun registries. There will always be a black market for guns and in the end, the guy that uses it for self defence will get boned.
