How sweet is that panel. I wonder if where these machines will end up working ie. very cold, very dirty will have an impact on the functionality of the EFIS? Will the positioning of EFIS controls on the yoke make getting in and out of seats from cabin area very difficult. Maybe not for you smaller guys. Any body here sit in one and look at that? Non the less, they look great.

If a pilot walked into a forest and had to make a decision, and no one from AVCANADA was there. Would the pilot still be wrong?

That was a modified original Twin Otter.
Not one built from scratch by Viking.
Big difference.

That's in the 100/200/300 Series. The new ones are so advanced, they have thought controlled engines...

If they were thought controlled the engines will spend the whole flight trying to have sex with each other.....

I wonder if they've relocated a lot of switches from the upper panel behind the power controls. There seem to be a lot more of them on the main panel than an old twin otter.

You start with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.

She got POWER that's it don't need full EFIS screens that might have trouble at minus 40 if no pre-heat available, so I go along with Muskeg

Older technology's EFIS like the 1900D or the ATR-42 we had problems with the pcbords down the floor. Is it better today? Pilatus has the temp. taken down there and there's a reason for that

A former employer thought the same with regard to EFIS and dust/cold etc. They found that their one(1) DHC8 with electro-mechanical instruments was more trouble than the new EFIS. The EFIS / GLASS is really pretty good stuff these days.

Can confirm that. It did a circuit while I was working. Ident was CGMJO, IIRC. Nice to see new build twin otters.
Edit: I just had a look at the flickr picture someone posted above. I was waaaay off. It was C
F MJO. Oops.
