Medical in aviation booklet

Post by conky »

Hey, I just recieved my new license booklet but my medical date in the back is my medical from 2008 which is not my most current medical ( I had one done in Dec. 2009) I called the transport canada office and they basically told me not to worry about it and that a label should be in the mail. But in the meantime am I not allowed to exercise my CPL privileges? or can I just carry my old license that has the stamp on it?

Good question. I haven't gotten any medical certificates from TC, just stamps from my came. . I think your best bet would to see the CAME and get him to stamp and date it as per your latest medical. Otherwise, carry your old one, and if ramped, let them clean up their own mess.

I had the same situation happen to me. Called transport and they said to just go have it stamped at the examiner.

As far as flying before then, you do have a old medical certificate validating an old license so the new one does not come into effect until you have received the new booklet. If you are ever questioned, maybe the mail was a little slow in delivering you license........

I don't see there being any problem in carrying your old medical around with your booklet in till you get your next stamp in your booklet. I did that with my medical and my PPC card.

I actually went to my doctor who stamped my new license. The next day, I got the new sticker.

I've had my new license stamped 3 times (sucks to over 50) and have not recieved anything in the mail from TC. Except an invoice
